The brand Malin + Goetz has been circulating on blogs and Instagram for a while. I was initially drawn to it because of their packaging - so cool! The brand started in a store in New York's Chelsea neighborhood (dream location!) and one of the two founders, Matthew, worked as a cosmetics buyer at Barneys New York (dream job!). I was bound to be amused by the brand.
The last four months I have been using the Jojoba Face Scrub and the Resurfacing Glycolic Pads. When the products arrived in the mail, I was initially most excited to try Resurfacing Glycolic Pads. Ever since discovering REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask I have banned traditional facial scrubs from my beauty regime and exclusively used acid peels instead. However, I decided to try the Jojoba Face Scrub - after years without any face scrubs near my face.
Both products are really good, as they are mild and doesn’t irritate my dry, sensitive skin. The Resurfacing Glycolic Pads, has no particular smell, doesn’t sting and gives the skin a great glow. I use it as a 20 minutes mask, before a hydrating mask or overnight, if my skin is particularly dry and chapped.
To my surprise the Jojoba Face Scrub is the one I have used the most. It deep cleanses the pores, feels nourishing and is not harsh on the skin. It has been a rescuer for my pores during the summer months, when my skin easily gets clogged by sunscreen, saltwater and long nights.
